BCRO (Battery Compliance Review Organization)
PCTEST Engineering Laboratory, Inc. located in Columbia, Maryland has been selected by the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA) as a Battery Compliance Review Organization (BCRO). This addition to the PCTEST family of services is another advancement toward the PCTEST commitment to provide the wireless industry with a single hub for testing and certification of wireless devices.
The CTIA procedure for the registration of Lithium-Ion and Lithium Polymer batteries is in accordance with the IEEE 1725 Standard for Rechargeable Batteries for Cellular Telephones. This procedure enables manufacturers of batteries including cell, battery pack, adaptor-AC/DC, DC/DC, and system hosts to register their batteries according to the CTIA requirements to ensure the safety of Li-Ion and Lithium Polymer batteries in the marketplace.
