History of PCTEST Engineering Laboratory
November 2007 PCTEST Korea Ltd. was established in Seoul, Korea.
October 2007 PCTEST is selected by the CTIA as a Battery Compliance Review Organization (BCRO) to evaluate Lithium Ion and Lithium Polymer batteries compliance to IEEE 1725 for CTIA certification requirements.
June 2007

PCTEST Expanded testing capability to include Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) of UNII devices (FCC Part 15E).

April 2007

PCTEST becomes first CTIA ISO-17025 Accredited Testing Laboratory in Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC) for wireless devices.

January 2007

PCTEST acquires new EMC Semi-Anechoic Chamber.

September 2006 PCTEST expands Mobile Testing coverage with the addition of Aeroflex's 3GPP2 C.S0073, C.S0060, and C.S0061 test cases.
August 2006 PCTEST acquires acoustic chamber exclusively for HAC RF Emissions and T-coil testing.
July 2006 First US CATL Laboratory to expand OTA Scope to include CDMA, AMPS, GSM, GPRS, EGPRS, UMTS (W-CDMA), CDMA 1xEvDO Data, CDMA 1xRTT Data.  Expanded A2LA Scope to include 3GPP2 Standards & Test Methods for CDMA2000, EvDO, MoIP, and Signaling Conformance test cases.
July 2006 PCTEST becomes a Verizon Wireless Safe-for-Network (SFN) approved Test Laboratory.
June 2006 FCC issues world’s first C63.19 HAC T-coil grant for a device, tested by PCTEST Laboratory
June 2006 PCTEST becomes a CCF Authorized Testing Facility to perform CCF Certification Testing.
February 2006 PCTEST expands Mobile Testing coverage with the addition of Aeroflex's 3GPP2 C.S0043 test cases to support Sprint STIC and expansion of CCF and CTIA Testing requirements.
December 2005 Added TTY test support for mobiles in compliance with ANSI-136, IS-95 Inter-vendor TTY Test Plan.
November 2005 100th ANSI C63.19 Hearing-Aid Compatibility (HAC) test performed at PCTEST.
May 2005 Expanded A2LA Accreditation Scope to include Over-the-Air (OTA) Antenna Testing capabilities for CDMA, GSM, and AMPS testing scopes.
May 2005 PCTEST becomes first A2LA accredited HAC Laboratory.  PCTEST TCB certifies first FCC HAC grant of authorization.
April 2005 100% passing record in the FCC sample request program for 15 years.
January 2005 PCTEST expands Aeroflex AIME Testing Solutions to include EvDO Signaling Conformance and MoIP (for both CDMA2000 & EvDO) test cases.
October 2004 Accepted by Industry Canada (IC) as a Foreign Certification Body (FCB) to issue IC Certification in all RSS Scopes.
October 2004 PCTEST becomes first certified CDMA 1xEvDO Signaling Conformance and Location Based Services (LBS) testing Laboratory.
September 2004 PCTEST expands cdma2000 services by adding Spirent PLTS and  MoIP capabilities.  Expansion also includes Spirent EvDO Min. Performance testing solutions.
April 2004 First CATL Laboratory to acquire Aeroflex AIME Testing Solutions for CDMA Signaling Conformance Certification Testing.
June 2004 PCTEST begins ANSI C63.19 HAC Testing for customers.
December 2003 PCTEST launches Hearing-Aid Compatibility (HAC) Testing research and development at the ANSI C63.19 Workshop in Cedar Park, Texas.
April 2003 FCC grants first true 5.8 GHz cordless phone compliant for SAR at PCTEST Laboratory.
February 2002 One of the first CTIA Authorized Testing Labs (CATL) in AMPS and CDMA technologies.
June 2000 One of the first FCC accepted Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB).
September 1999 First laboratory capable of conducting SAR Testing using IDX North American and SPEAG European SAR Systems.
April 1999 100% passing record in the FCC sample request program for 10 years.
April 1996 First SAR FCC Grant, tested by PCTEST Laboratory.
February 1996 FCC grants first device tested for SAR at PCTEST Laboratory.
January 1996 One of the first FCC Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) accepted laboratories.
April 1994 100% passing record in the FCC sample request program for 5 years.
March 1992 Accredited by NVLAP (U.S.) for EMC Testing and FCC Telecommunication Services.
April 1989 PCTEST Engineering Laboratory is established.
